Erin Wilmer’s professional journey is shaped by decades of leadership, discipline, and a dedication to empowering individuals and families through financial education. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Wilmer graduated from Booker T. Washington High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education & Development from Southern Illinois University. Her career began with 24 years of honorable service in the United States Navy, where she retired as a Navy Chief. During her military tenure, she served in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning multiple National Defense Wartime Service Medals. The skills, discipline, and leadership she developed during her service continue to guide her professional and personal endeavors.
After retiring from the Navy, Wilmer transitioned into the financial sector, beginning her career with a well-known financial firm in June 2012. Over the course of ten years, she provided financial guidance and planning to clients, helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of investing, saving, and long-term wealth management. Drawing on this extensive experience, she launched The Wilmer Financial Group, Inc., headquartered in Pensacola’s downtown historic district. Through her firm, Wilmer emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and education, ensuring that clients not only understand their financial options but are empowered to make informed decisions for the future.
In addition to leading her own firm, Wilmer serves as a strategic partner with The Wingate Group, Inc., overseeing its Wealth Management Division. Her dual roles highlight her expertise in wealth planning and reflect a professional philosophy grounded in discipline, accountability, and client-centered service. Wilmer’s approach to financial advising prioritizes both technical knowledge and personalized guidance, offering clients the tools they need to achieve financial stability while understanding the steps to get there.
